The type of craftsman that more than likely designed and constructed the pieces of furniture that today we call antiques. In a world of "faster, faster, cheaper, cheaper", I find myself part of a dying breed. I know this first hand for my "career" over the past 20 years has been that of an importer and manufacturer.
As a designer, I want your input, so the process all starts with communication. Understanding the purpose, surroundings, function, or maybe the occasion for a commissioned piece of furniture is the necessary beginning for the design. Your involvement in the design phase is important, and exciting as well, and will ultimately leave your own mark on it for its lifetime.
